New guidelines!
For the first time since 2009, the Ontario Ministry of Health has issued a significant new protocol for those who perform “personal services”. This includes nails, hair and esthetic services, among others. The new regulation also gives more power to each public health inspector, who now has an obligation to report non-compliance issues, which will be posted online. Along with this comes new authority to issue “set fines” for infractions, which can come up to more than $450.
While we never want to create a fear-based approach, it’s important to acknowledge that this new regulation comes with consequences.
